The Senior HSE Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Leading health, safety, and environmental protection efforts on the project site
  • Conducting project-specific safety orientations and arranging or conducting HSE training
  • Ensuring compliance with maintenance programs, equipment inspections, and reporting
  • Correcting unsafe conditions and reporting to responsible project personnel
  • Ensuring all controlled products are accompanied by safety data sheets and other documentation
  • Posting and communicating emergency documents and notices
  • Reviewing incident reports and maintaining monthly statistics
  • Conducting formal project inspections and developing corrective action plans
  • Supporting project supervision with claims management and return to work processes
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • NCSO, CRSP, or CSP certification or equivalent considered an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Health and Safety field
  • 5 years oil and gas industry experience
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of OH&S/OSHA Acts & Regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
  • Strong mentoring skills
  • Possess the demonstrated ability to motivate self and others
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and conflict resolution skills
