Health and Safety Advisor

Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. is a leading Canadian manufacturer of wellhead, production gate valve, and check valve equipment. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Health Safety Environment Advisor to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in maintaining the ongoing development, implementation, and effectiveness of the Company Health and Safety Management System.
- Advise managers and employees on relevant safe work standards, practices, procedures, and regulations.
- Evaluate work activities to determine potential hazards and ensure adequate controls are in place.
- Assess and support the safe work practices and procedures for compliance with governing bodies.
- Lead and assist with site inspections, hazard assessments, safety meetings, and field audits.
- Review FLRA's, JHA's, and pre-use reports.
- Assist in organizing and conducting safety training sessions for employees.
- Provide information and guidance on health and safety topics.
- Assist in incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with coordinating internal and external audits of SFI HSE management system.
- Develop and implement the Joint Work Site Health & Safety Committees.
- Promote safe work practices and foster a strong safety culture.
Requirements:
- Working towards or completion of a recognized OH&S certificate program.
- Standard First Aid with CPR level C Certificate.
- Minimum of 2+ years of HSE experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); knowledge of SharePoint an asset.
