About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience in a supportive environment where your voice matters. You will have the chance to work with other Solution and Enterprise Architects, Business System Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to design and document solutions that meet business needs and automate business processes.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain understanding of the functionality and use of the IT application portfolio for specific vertical lines of business.
- Take direction from more senior program solution architects or from Enterprise/functional architects in smaller projects.
- Independently perform or execute given solution design assignments capable of implementing E2E processes.
- Engage with senior solution architects within your area/project and with the enterprise architect for their specific area of expertise to enable the Group Operations and IT governance process.
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant systems, technologies, products, processes, and procedures to provide outstanding solution design services for complex parts of bigger solutions or for solutions with high architectural complexity and medium to high business criticality risks.
- Utilize the group operations and technology governance process to provide architectural design approval and ensure that the IT architectural standards and practices are followed.
- Provide consultation for multiple areas of technology to project efforts within various IT areas and/or external service providers.
- Identify existing IT software assets for new opportunities through project and program involvement.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT enterprise architecture, standards, and practices by maintaining understanding of current and future technology developments.
- Provide formal and informal leadership and direction to other architects.
- Design and document solutions required to meet business needs and automate business processes/activities.
- Harvest reusable building blocks for reuse on other projects/programs.
- Support the development of business cases.
- Participate in technology evaluations.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in IT architecture, preferably with 5 or more years of experience in building solutions for mid to high complexity initiatives. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications- 3+ years of solid experience in full-stack cloud development with React.
- Experience in the design, implementation, and usage of REST APIs.
- Proven experience in architecting IAM solutions using Okta.
- Insurance industry experience.
- Working knowledge of insurance concepts and applications.
- Hands-on software development experience in full-stack with NoSQL backends.
- Guidewire Insurance Suite and Guidewire Jutro experience.
- Additional Azure or AWS cloud experience or certification is a plus.
