Medical Laboratory Technologist required to work in a hospital laboratory setting, performing various tasks including laboratory testing, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

William Osler Health System is a leading healthcare provider in Canada, recognized for its commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify laboratory results for accuracy and investigate unexpected abnormalities
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Monitor quality control results and respond to discordant findings
  • Ensure proper specimen collection, transport, and storage
  • Assist with bone marrow collections and process test requests
  • Monitor blood and blood component products for temperature and expiry dates
  • Issue blood and blood component products
  • Participate in laboratory quality management and process improvements
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical laboratory technology program
  • Registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
  • Minimum two years recent experience in a hospital laboratory setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high productivity
Additional Information:
  • Hours: Days/Evenings/Nights, including weekends and statutory holidays
