YOUR FUTURE ROLE
The SAP Government Security unit is looking for a National Security Technology Expert who will manage security projects and contribute to the expansion of capabilities that address the unique requirements of security sensitive organizations across public sector and regulated industry in Canada. You will build strong relationships with government authorities and collaborate with customer security teams, internal employees, and partners to establish a shared understanding of requirements, support customer engagements and deliver projects. You will be accountable for ensuring strict compliance with applicable government regulations and unique customer security requirements and will implement security projects either as a project lead or as an individual contributor on a matrixed delivery team.
Core responsibilities include:
- Expand SAP Canada's capabilities for handling Protected and Classified information.
- Provide expert knowledge, advice, and guidance with respect to Canadian IT Security Guideline 33 (ITSG-33) controls.
- Produce and maintain high quality documentation critical to maintain certification.
- Design and maintain technology solutions that support project delivery and unique security requirements of customers.
- Play a leading role to the development of technological solutions for Digital Sovereignty including Cloud Data Protection Architectures, Data Security, Accountability and Privacy technologies.
- Participate as a contributing member in international information exchanges to share leading practices.
- Maintain internal reporting and ensure employees receive mandatory security briefings.
- Be a member of SAP Canada's Government Security team and serve as an Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO)

- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a high degree of personal initiative
Experience with IaaS/PaaS cloud technology such as OpenStack, AWS, Google, or Azure
Experience working with classified systems in the past five years.
Significant experience implementing and/or managing security controls.
Knowledge of RCMP physical security standards
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
A propensity to collaborate and work on a team.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of government security regulations
Knowledge of the Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification (CP-CSC) or the US Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is an asset.
Knowledge of RCMP physical security standards
Knowledge of government security regulations outside Canada is an asset.
The successful candidate must have the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a government security clearance. An existing Government of Canada security clearances is desirable.

The SAP Government Security team in Canada focuses on obligations and risks associated with Canadian federal, provincial, municipal, and highly regulated industry customers with special security requirements.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 128, CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
