Project Manager – Switchgear: Manage multiple projects, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely delivery to key enterprise clients.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, reconciling production schedule to customer demand.
- Customer Design Change Requests: Execute customer design change requests with production and procurement through system and email updates with ongoing status reports to stakeholders.
- Material Coordination: Coordinates with materials team and vendors to ensure production deliverables are met.
- Intercept Plans: Develop and execute intercept plans for material changes and substitutions with production and procurement through system and email updates with ongoing status reports to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Supports and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Process Documentation: Documents processes and procedures in alignment with sister-factories.
- Logistics Coordination: Works with logistics team to coordinate shipments to customer sites.
- Change Order Management: Coordinate with Production, Materials Group, Engineering, Commercial Sales and Shipping to manage and fulfill change orders or back orders at all stages of project fulfillment.
- Tracking Tools: Maintain, develop where required, tracking tools consistently.
- Customer Communication: Administering and coordinating customer's entire cycle will include but not limited to:
- Participate in weekly production meetings to ensure risks to deliverables are identified and escalated
- Ongoing daily communication regarding capacity, inventory, ship dates, delivery dates, pull-ins, pushouts, delivery addresses, contact information, requests for documents, etc.
- Keeping stakeholders appraised of ship dates, changes, etc. and keeping things "on track"
- Coordinate factory material support for field service including updates to tracking tools
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Construction or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a successful Project Manager in a busy/fast paced environment.
- Being flexible and exhibiting an outgoing, service-oriented, and positive personality is a must.
- Strong organizational, written and verbal skills are required.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites are required.
- The ability to prioritize and be effective with many "moving pieces" without supervision is essential.
- A technical background or experience in a manufacturing/sales environment is a plus.
