Teacher Assistant

Northern Gateway Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our team at Hillside Jr/Sr High School.

Responsibilities:
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students in a classroom setting
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational assistants to create a supportive learning environment
  • Understand and carry out oral and written direction
  • Work independently with minimal instruction
  • Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
  • Respect confidentiality and maintain professionalism
Qualifications:
  • Desirable: Educational Assistant Certificate
  • Ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with others

Working Conditions:
  • 6.5 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • Competitive hourly wage rate: $17.31 - $26.38
