Dans ce rôle, vous ferez partie de l'équipe de thermodynamique ou de performance des moteurs et travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec des spécialistes sur un sujet lié aux calculs thermiques, à la dynamique des fluides, à la performance des moteurs, aux mesures, au traitement des données et/ou à la rédaction de rapports. Le sujet exact sera déterminé au début du stage et le niveau/complexité du travail sera adapté en fonction des capacités du candidat sélectionné.

Dans votre rôle, vous pourrez :

• Développement d'outils comprenant une interface utilisateur graphique
• Validation du code par rapport aux cas de test standard.
• Faire de la rédaction de manuels d'utilisation
• Mise à jour du format de la documentation

Vous développerez les compétences suivantes :

• Connaissances en thermodynamique appliquée grâce à l'interaction avec des spécialistes et une formation en cours d'emploi
• Développement d'outils, validation et vérification et création d'un manuel d'utilisation efficace
• Compétences rédactionnelles techniques
• Travail d'équipe et développement d'une stratégie pour accomplir vos tâches

En tant que candidat idéal,

• En train de terminer un baccalauréat ou une maîtrise en génie mécanique ou aérospatial dans une université reconnue (programmes co-op )
• Familier avec le calcul scientifique et les langages de programmation tels que Fortran, C/C++, python ou similaire, MS Excel/VBA et GSuite
• Motivé pour faire une revue de la littérature, apprendre et mettre en œuvre de nouvelles idées
• Autonome et capable d'exécuter une tâche sous un minimum de supervision et d'orientation
• Familier avec la rédaction technique (anglais)

In this role, you will be part of the Thermodynamics or Engine Performance team working closely with specialists on a subject related to thermal calculations, fluid dynamics, engine performance, measurement, data processing and/or report writing. The exact subject will be determined at the start of the internship and the level/complexity of the work will be adapted based on the capability of the selected candidate.

In your role, you may perform:

• Tool development including graphical user-interface
• Code validation against standard test cases
• Writing user manuals
• Updating documentation format

You will develop the following skills:

• Applied thermodynamics knowledge through interaction with specialists and on-the-job training
• Tool development, validation & verification and creation of effective user manual
• Technical writing skills
• Teamwork and developing strategy to complete your tasks

As our ideal candidate,

• You are currently completing a Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering in a recognized University (co-op programs)
• You are familiar with scientific computation and program languages such as Fortran, C/C++, python or similar, MS Excel/VBA, and GSuite
• You are self-motivated to do literature review, learn and implement new ideas
• You are autonomous and able to execute a task under minimum supervision and guidance
• You are familiar with technical writing (English)
