Occupational Therapist required to provide consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up for clients in the community throughout Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Community Transitions, the Occupational Therapist provides consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up of clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. The objectives of treatment are to facilitate, restore, and/or maintain clients' optimal level of function.

  • Graduate of a C.A.O.T recognized School of Occupational Therapy
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia (COTNS)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience practicing as an Occupational Therapist
  • Community experience is preferred
  • Maintain current certification in CPR
  • BLS-C (HCP) Certification
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid Nova Scotia driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required for home/community visits
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent Full Time; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Hours of work may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation and Benefits

$42.89 hourly
