Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible to identify funding opportunities, analyze funding criteria and success factors, coordinate research teams, and provide advice and guidance to researchers in the completion of research applications and proposals

Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
ñ Knowledge of research and sector trends, project management, and business development
ñ Knowledge of research funding application policies, procedures, and processes
ñ Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, policies, and procedures
ñ Knowledge of office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
ñ Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
ñ Knowledge of cultural competency and diversity in a business context
ñ Knowledge of business development and industry partnerships
Education and Experience:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
ñ Completion of doctoral degree in Science
ñ Minimum of two years of previous research and funding application experience and business development
