Position Summary:

Presents a positive image to Gordon Food Service (GFS) customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of GFS products. Serves as liaison between GFS management and customers. Communicates all customer issues and concerns. Operates GFS equipment in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail, safe work habits, working knowledge of Tractor-Trailer, refrigerated van and the ability to deal effectively with customers and the public. Must pass the required sales service representative physical ability test for area hired.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensures safe, accurate, and timely deliveries of GFS products, maintaining efficiency.
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships, demonstrating self-control.
  • Collects customer payments accurately, adhering to GFS banking policies.
  • Performs all Sales Service functions within 90 days of employment.
  • Conducts proper equipment maintenance, monitors reefer temperature, and reports issues promptly.
  • Completes daily check-ins accurately and on time.
  • Collaborates with management and sales representatives to address customer concerns.
  • Performs daily pre/post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, managing paperwork efficiently.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with other GFS employees.
  • Maintains peer relationships to share issues and ideas, attending department meetings.
  • Performs assigned duties.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Adheres to safety and compliance regulations.
  • Maintains professional appearance in GFS uniform.
  • Requires punctuality, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Works independently and in a team environment.
  • Goal-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in English language.
  • Meets physical demands of the job, including lifting, pushing, and pulling products.
