About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Distribution: Interpret medication orders, assess prescriptions for therapeutic suitability, and ensure medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed and/or compounded and labelled.
  • Communication: Communicate with physicians, patients, and/or other health care team members for prescription clarification and problem resolution.
  • Medication Counselling: Provide instructions to others on proper use/administration, storage and/or disposal, possible side effects of prescribed and self-selected medications.
  • Quality Control: Participate in the collection of data for medication use evaluation projects, implementation of dispensary-based medication safety initiatives, and quality control activities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of drug distribution processes in a hospital setting, ability to communicate effectively, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
