Job SummaryThis course is designed to provide students with a conceptual understanding of Astronomy, without requiring a mathematical background. The course objectives are to learn the basics of Astronomy, our place in the Universe, and to gain insight into modern Astronomy endeavours.
Responsibilities- Deliver the course using a technology-enhanced learning approach, utilizing laptop computers and wireless connectivity.
- Prepare, deliver, and grade all course material and assignments.
- Be available for consultation with students during and following completion of the course session.
- Graduate degree (MSc or PhD) in Physics, Astronomy, or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Proven record of teaching undergraduate courses.
- Familiarity with online course management system.
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduates.
