Specifically, the Plumbing Foremen/Forewomen will:

  • Manage, train and work alongside a medium to a large crew of Lead hands, Journeypersons and Apprentices
  • Perform the duties of a Red Seal Plumber when required
  • Plan and schedule tasks for site Red Seal Plumbers and apprentices
  • Work with Project Managers and Mechanical Superintendent to enforce the project-specific health and safety policy and QAQC program
  • Order materials and equipment to suit the site installation in advance of installation
  • Ensure that fabrications delivered from the shop are installed into their correct location ASAP to limit job site clutter
  • Direct and monitor sub-trade work to ensure the installation is in line with the project documents
  • Monitor and report on-site installation to ensure activities align with the project schedule, adjusting the team and/or tasks as required
  • Translate the drawings/specifications into a usable format for the Lead hand/RSP's
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must have Canadian experience as a Foreman/Forewoman in the Plumbing/Mechanical industry

Education & Experience

  • A minimum of 6 years in the mechanical construction industry
  • Formal training in construction management would be an asset
  • Red Seal Certification
  • Previous experience as a Lead Hand or Foreperson is required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

Work Conditions

  • This is a full-time position
  • Overtime as required
  • Standing on your feet 8 hours a day
  • Walking up and down stairs all day long
  • Walking through uneven grounds on construction sites
  • Navigating around obstacles on construction sites, such as heavy equipment, cars, trucks
