**Payroll Specialist**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team, responsible for processing payroll functions, maintaining client records, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Process payroll functions on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis, including reconciliations and journal entries.
* Collect, verify, and process payroll information for small to medium sized businesses across several industries.
* Maintain up-to-date client records related to pay, attendance, vacation, and benefits.
* Handle payroll fillings such as ROEs, garnishments, and union dues, while ensuring compliance.
* Communicate with clients and coworkers, maintaining positive relationships.
* Self-manage workload and projects.
* Perform other duties as required and as assigned.

**Requirements**

* Proficient with payroll processing software: Wagepoint, QBO Payroll, QBD Payroll, etc.
* Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
* Warm and positive individual, who is intrinsically motivated and who demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage tight deadlines.
* Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with both staff and clients.
* Ability to learn quickly, mentor others, and provide constructive feedback.
* Bilingualism (French/English), which is considered an asset but not required.
* Minimum three years of relevant payroll experience.
* PCP designation, or completed payroll courses with practical experience requirements in progress.
