We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Project Technologist to join our team in Richmond, BC. As a key member of our Automation & Digitalization division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality electrical and control engineering projects that improve plant productivity, reliability, and sustainability for our North American customers.
Key Responsibilities- Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and estimates for electrical and control system upgrades.
- Complete electrical control and instrumentation system design, including P&ID drawings, control system architecture, and instrumentation systems.
- Design, program, and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
- Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation.
- Perform protection and control systems design and settings;
- Perform system checkout, testing, and commissioning;
- Graduate of a bachelor's or diploma program in electrical engineering (or similar);
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial engineering;
- Experience in pulp & paper an asset;
- Resourceful, self-managed, and goal-driven but still able to work effectively in a team;
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English);
- Registered as an EIT/P.Eng. or AScT in British Columbia an asset;
- Practical knowledge of North American standards;
- Authorized to work in Canada;
- Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (typically 5-20%).
