Meat Associate

Join our team as a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada and develop your skills in the retail industry. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and organized meat department, and assist with stocking and sales.
Key Responsibilities:- Zones the department to ensure a clean and organized environment
- Rotates stock and checks for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise
- Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer expectations
- Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, food handling, and product rotation
- Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise and provides requested assistance
- Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and signing/flagging/pricing/labels
- Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and other items using slicers, stackers, and other utensils
- Follows Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail or food service environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet customer demands
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
We also welcome individuals who possess the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role li>Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
