Why is this role open:
The firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join either their Victoria or Vancouver office, as the needs of the business are growing.
Must haves:
- Graduation from a certified Building Technology or Architectural program from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in the Canadian Architectural Industry, with a preference for experience in BC
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including leading teams during design and construction document preparation
- Versatility in multiple disciplines, particularly townhomes, mixed-use residential, and multi-family residential, encompassing both new designs and renovations
- Demonstrated expertise in building technology covering wood frame, steel, and concrete construction
- Knowledge of the BC Building Code Part 3, Part 9, and ASHRAE 90.1, with NECB being an advantage
- Understanding of sustainable design considerations
- Familiarity with municipal approval processes
- Experience in providing construction services and conducting field reviews
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, along with a working knowledge of Revit and SketchUp
- Effective coordination abilities with all stakeholders, including engineers, clients, designers, and contractors
