Café Associate

The Café Associate is responsible for greeting customers, taking food orders, and completing sales transactions in a timely fashion.

Duties:

1. Be familiar with the menu and specials.
2. Greet customers and assist with questions and answer customers’ queries.
3. Take orders for food.
4. Provide accurate cashier services, including receiving payments through cash, credit, debit, and gift cards.
5. Serve drinks and desserts.
6. Clear and sanitize tables.
7. Participate and ensure Health and Safety compliance.
8. Clean and maintain work areas as per cleaning schedule.
9. Wash and sanitize dishes.
10. Assist with food preparation duties.
11. Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. Combination of education and work experiences.
2. Good organization and communication skills. Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
3. Positive and friendly attitude.
4. Detail oriented. Good numeracy skills. Able to manage time effectively.
5. 1-2 years of food handling experience.
6. Works well in a team environment.
7. Flexible availability. Days, evenings, weekends including holidays as required.
