Horizon Computer Solutions Inc. is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a business leader who can guide both administrative and financial functions of our business. We are seeking an experienced business professional to join our high-performing team and to help guide us toward continued success. As the COO, you will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us analyze, strategize, and grow. This position would be ideal for an experienced professional who has managed the finances of $25M+ and is ready for the next level.

Responsibilities

  1. Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  2. Help define and drive the company’s financial strategy, including growth, capital, and control.
  3. Create and implement annual budgets and expense plans.
  4. Establish and enforce official policies and procedures for accounting, administration, and inventory management, ensuring that all matters are conducted in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  5. Design business resilience strategies to ensure the organization can adapt to change, weather economic tides, and grow in a sustainable manner.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to drive business growth and profitability through effective management.
  7. Coach business partners in financial and operational matters.
  8. Understand how to raise and preserve capital, when necessary, to empower business operations and growth.
  9. As a member of the senior management team, provide clear and effective communication and be prepared to answer questions from stakeholders of any level.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  2. A Canadian CPA Designation is an asset.
  3. 10 years of operations or financial management experience.
  4. Some operational experience in a B2B environment would be an asset.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  7. Familiarity with QuickBooks Online financial software including payroll.
  8. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

An additional requirement of this role is successfully completing a Criminal Record Check.
