Job Overview: As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will report directly to the Director, FP&A. You support the finance team in the comprehensive planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the company's financial performance. This role includes guiding financial analysis processes, identifying and prioritizing recommended actions, and managing financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting activities to ensure efficient financial operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate proactively and regularly with various team members.
  • Lead and support the annual and quarterly budgeting process across the organization.
  • Develop and improve tools/systems and automate processes; manage and streamline the existing budgeting and forecasting solution for enhanced reporting.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and reliable predictive forecast modeling for various functional areas.
  • Analyze historical data, predict future results, and explain budget variances.
  • Review and analyze results, offering insightful recommendations.
  • Examine operations profit and loss statements for cost-saving opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to implement these initiatives.
  • Identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights to improve departmental metrics and business decisions.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual rolling forecasts; report on actuals vs. budgeted results, including additional ad-hoc analysis.
  • Establish budget and operational benchmarks; lead the preparation of monthly/annual forecasts.
  • Maintain awareness of proper internal controls and recommend improvements for any deficiencies.
  • Perform quantitative analysis for strategic planning, special projects, and management reports; communicate results to the management team.
  • Prepare other reports and participate in special projects as requested.
  • Experience with Netsuite, PowerBI, is an asset.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education, Training & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience required; CPA or MBA or other relevant qualification is an asset.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, understanding of financial reporting, and cash flow information.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with large ERP/Financial Systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
