Position:
We are currently looking to hire a Junior Estimator - Cladding to join our growing team. Projects vary from residential multifamily to commercial/ industrial work. Scope of work includes architectural facades and metal roofing systems. Hours are Monday-Friday 6:30 am-4:30pm.
Our Ideal candidate will be a reliable and responsible person who can work efficiently in a team atmosphere, using their knowledge and skills to achieve the task at hand. A safe professional mentality and solid work ethic are important to our company culture. Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of estimating experience in building envelope scope of work.
Key responsibilities:
Review blueprint and specifications.
Provide assistance to Senior estimator on a daily basis.
Perform occasional site reviews to get familiar with each project.
Perform quantity takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
Assist in preparing cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
Support bid preparation by organizing cost data and bid documents.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing information.
Coordinate with subcontractors to gather bids and scope details.
Utilize estimating software for data input and cost breakdowns.
Maintain project documents and cost records.
Stay updated with industry trends and cost estimating techniques.
Support the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
Collaborate with the estimating team to improve processes and accuracy.
Assets:
Building Envelope experience
Strong skills in Excel and Word
Ability to read plans and specifications
Valid Driver’s License required
