Intake Lawyer

Are you a lawyer who wants to make a competitive salary but doesn’t want to take your work home with you? MacGillivray Law Office is hiring an Intake Lawyer to join our Intake Team. In the Intake Lawyer role, you are not required to manage a caseload of files, and your job ends after each intake is complete.

MacGillivray Law is one of Canada’s largest injury law firms, with 32 lawyers and 80 legal professionals serving in Atlantic Canada. The Intake Lawyer role requires acceptance of frequent changes in role requirements, flexibility, and cross training. As the successful candidate, you must be able to talk to people experiencing trauma and put your attention to them above all else. This role is highly competitive, offering a starting salary with a lot of room for advancement.

1. Legally entitled to practice law in Canada, and a member in good standing with the provincial bar
2. Previous experience in plaintiff personal injury or insurance litigation is preferred
3. Proven experience using various software applications at a high level of speed and accuracy (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and case management software)
4. Motivation and a competitive attitude
5. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
6. Fluency in both French and English is an asset
