Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
- To order all seafood products and supplies and oversee the merchandising of product, as per the Fortino’s Health Code;
- To be responsible for quality of product, organizing and setting up the department, maintaining proper inventory levels and ensuring proper signage is made up and put up correctly;
- To schedule, direct and supervise all seafood staff to secure department efficiencies;
- To interview and select new hires, train new employees, and perform ongoing performance evaluations;
- To maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales’ goals and budgets are met;
- To ensure the maintenance of equipment and the safety and sanitation of the department, as per Company Policy;
- To respond to any customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times;
- To perform other duties, as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a retail seafood environment;
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, and weekends;
- Some managerial experience, a definite asset;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure;
- Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
