AWC Water Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing integrated water and wastewater treatment plants and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.
Overview:
AWC is in search of a dedicated and proficient InEight Estimator to enhance our team. This position centers on utilizing InEight Estimating software to produce detailed cost analyses for our bid projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in InEight tools and have a robust technical background, ideally in water and wastewater project estimation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use InEight Estimating software to enhance estimation efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain InEight material databases.
- Contribute to the development of work processes and procedures involving InEight.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgetary pricing for bid projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with sales teams and applications engineers to define project requirements and scope.
- Conduct detailed reviews of client bid packages, project specifications, and drawings.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations to inform accurate cost assessments.
- Create and maintain an estimating database to streamline the estimation process.
- Prepare comprehensive handover packages post-award, facilitating a smooth transition to the project execution team.
- Lead and mentor junior estimators, fostering skill development and professional growth within the team.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in estimation processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in estimating, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Proficiency in InEight Estimating software and familiarity with P&ID, process drawings, and design schematics.
- Advanced education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline is an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong work ethic and self-motivation, with a history of delivering high-quality, consistent results.
