What will you do:

  1. Equipment Preventive Maintenance, Calibration and Repair:
    Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and calibration of production equipment (including sterilizers, dispensing lines, wrappers, inkjet printers, print and apply systems, conveyors, labeling machines and auxiliary equipment).
    Calibrate equipment including sterilizers, scales, incubators, freezers, fridges and environmental sensors.
    Diagnose and repair equipment. Investigate production, process and quality issues.
    Assist in the execution of process improvements.
  2. Keep track of spare parts' inventory, submit requisitions and order spare parts and equipment supplies.
  3. Work with contractors to address problems and maintain auxiliary equipment, including air compressor, boiler and steam system, water purification system, HEPA filters, incubators, freezers and fridges.
  4. Work with vendors to fix issues and maintain facilities related equipment (Elevator, HVAC systems, Plumbers, Electricians, General Contractors).
  5. Make modifications to equipment, install new equipment and implement or assist with the implementation of projects.
  6. Records keeping and documentation:
    Document work done on equipment by filling out paperwork, shift report and updating maintenance / calibration database.
    Follow all written procedures. Suggest changes / improvements in procedures when required.
  7. Ensure designated uniform is maintained in good condition at all times and wear appropriate cleanroom apparel and gown daily according to Standard Operating Procedures when required.
    Must wear personal protective equipment.

How will you get here:

  1. 2 or 3 year diploma in Electro-Mechanical, Robotics, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Instrumentation and Controls Technician, Technologist or related program.
  2. Minimum 1 year experience repairing, maintaining, calibrating and testing process control equipment.
  3. Mechanical proficiency.
  4. Experience with servo motors, programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Pneumatics.
  5. Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and metrology would be an asset.
  6. Capable of reading and using schematics and wiring diagrams.
  7. Able to follow oral directions and perform procedures as assigned; read, understand, and implement written and/or verbal test, inspection and maintenance procedures.
  8. Working PC skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  9. Experience with AutoCAD.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Ability to prioritize based on workload demands.
  12. Available to work in the evening (2:00 – 10:30 pm) and overtime (including weekends) when required.
