You Are:

You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual currently pursuing a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science. You have a keen interest in scripting, particularly using Python, and are eager to learn how it can be applied to automate various project management tasks within the MEM PHY IP design process. You possess excellent communication skills and are not afraid to take on large tasks. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have a strong desire to understand complex project management, design, and verification processes. Your self-motivation and proactive attitude ensure that you can take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion. This position is a 12 or 16 month internship in Ottawa starting in January 2025.


What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Developing and automating tasks essential to the success of the MEM PHY Firmware development team.
  • Gaining hands-on experience with the complexities associated with the development of next-generation MEM PHY products.
  • Assuming ownership for the development and automation of various project management processes.
  • Working closely with team members to ensure on-time delivery of multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Learning and understanding the requirements, steps, and interdependencies associated with designing and delivering leading-edge IP.
  • Contributing to the improvement of efficiency in project management processes through automation.

What You’ll Need:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge, experience, and interest in Python scripting.
  • Ability to learn and understand complex project management, design, and verification processes.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward tackling large tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Within the IP Group, the MEM PHYsical Layer (Memory PHY) Group delivers leading-edge DDR, LPDDR, and HBM PHY solutions to our customers. Our customers' products are used in a wide range of computing devices, including game consoles, graphics processors, smartphones, servers, and more. The MEM PHY Firmware development team has an expanding number of ongoing and new development projects, offering you the opportunity to make a significant impact.
