Our expectations:
Reporting to the Coach, Operations, the Screen Attendant is accountable for the scheduling, set-up, and release of inbound and outbound product movement efficiently as it moves through the distribution center.
The Screen Attendant supports the Operations teams by ensuring all receiving paperwork is available, audited, and completed in a timely manner into our WMS. The incumbent will be responsible for the accurate scheduling of inbound purchase orders with appointments, door assignment, and PO verification to ensure inventory is available for shipment to our various banners and customers. Shipping verification and creation of outbound paperwork related to all transportation documentation will also be tasks required for this role.
Your role:
- Analyze, close, and file completed purchase orders and assist in freight claims
- Schedule, set-up, and release inbound and outbound product in our WMS
- Schedule appointments, assign doors, and verify Purchase Orders
- Ensure paperwork is accurate and all necessary documentation is obtained to verify receipt quantity to invoiced quantity
- Communicate priority POs and aging receiving not completed
- Receive and organize returned/unfinished assignments
- Research and resolve issues related to receiving to ensure accuracy
- Interact with and address any questions or concerns from transport drivers as they wait during load pick up or drop off
- Maintain a clean work environment and inventorying of supplies needed
- Process all allocations and reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Cross-train as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
The qualifications we are looking for :
- At least 1-2 years of previous experience in inventory, shipping, or receiving within a warehouse environment (an asset)
- Experience with software applications including MS Office and a current Warehouse Management System (WMS) (Blue Yonder WMS would be an advantage)
- Strong operational knowledge of a distribution environment (an asset)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously while still being detail-oriented
