EnVision is looking for an experienced, motivated, team-oriented person to join our Designated Substances & Hazardous Materials team as a Project Manager. Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage internal and external relationships.

As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

  1. Co-ordination and execution of field work associated with designated substances and hazardous materials services;
  2. Preparation and review of technical reports;
  3. Management of project financials and schedules;
  4. Communications with clients to assist with the development and execution of work;
  5. Proposal preparation and review;
  6. Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables;
  7. Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement through on-the-job coaching and guidance to staff;
  8. Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment;
  9. Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs;
  10. Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects;
  11. Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed; and,
  12. In addition, any other functions assigned as part of your employment.

To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

  1. Degree or Diploma in related discipline
  2. 4+ years of prior consulting experience working in the field of designated substances and hazardous materials or other related disciplines
  3. Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
  4. Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
  7. Excellent English (verbal/written) communication skills
  8. Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and teach
