Regional Vice President, Sales Canada

The Regional Vice President Sales, Commercial leads the strategic direction of the Commercial Sales Team and the Sales Operations organization in Canada. Responsible for developing and executing sales strategy and channel programs and business development actions to achieve goals and forecasts. Leads and manages sales growth and profitability of the country within the commercial channel through product mix, pricing, expense management and high customer sales experience. As a passionate sales leader you will partner with other Allegion functional leaders and team members.

What You Will Do:

  1. Partner with GM of Canada to create, implement, and execute annual business plan. Develop national strategies to align to Long Range Plan (LRP).
  2. Responsible for driving the sales plan, managing costs and overall territory budget to meet financial goals. Manage these strategies through the Regional Sales Leaders and teams.
  3. Responsible for supporting and developing strategic priorities and channel programs and initiatives in support of sales plan and budgets.
  4. Utilize sales and management background/experience to mentor, coach and develop sales team.
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with key customers within the Canadian commercial marketplace.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with cross functional leaders in support of Allegion Commercial Sales objectives.
  7. Responsible for performance management, talent review, employee development, talent acquisition, inclusion and diversity and employee engagement.
  8. Maintain excellent industry/territory knowledge by gathering market data of competitive activity. Adapt to changes in marketplace.
  9. Provide comprehensive reports to General Manager, Canada on business results and actions supporting priorities.
  10. Maintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.
  11. Execute channel strategy. Develop new channels for changing strategic needs.
  12. Responsible for Commercial Canada Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
  13. Support the use of the sales funnel process in CRM to track and capture both new construction and aftermarket opportunities to drive positive business results.
  14. Continuous communication with team to ensure employee engagement in business initiatives, strategy, and overall direction. Host (and present at) team meetings.
  15. Participate in internal product and program deployment teams.
  16. Understand and provide guidance as it relates to competition.
  17. Must be willing and able to travel up to 75%.

What You Need to Succeed:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Technical field preferred.
  2. 10+ years sales experience leading a high performing sales team and setting sales targets.
  3. Creating and developing value added channel-based programs.
  4. Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action.
  6. Strong customer focus.
  7. Results-oriented with proven ability to motivate team members with clear goals to achieve outcomes.
  8. Demonstrate courage in leadership and be a champion of change.
  9. Industry specific experience required.
  10. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  11. Ability to travel to the US.
  12. Excellent strategic planning and communicating those plans.
  13. Experience leading teams and working cross-functionally with marketing, product design, and operations.
  14. Achievement-oriented, results-driven leadership; enthusiastic and resilient.
