Responsibilities:
  1. Actively participate and drive Matrix’s strong safety culture
  2. Oversee and/or technically support simple to moderately complex site assessment, remediation and monitoring projects
  3. Ensure internal communication and collaboration to facilitate delivery of high-quality products to meet our clients’ unique project needs
  4. Manage project timelines, budgets, and communication with clients and project related stakeholders
  5. Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and reports
  6. Function effectively within and contribute to the success of a collaborative team
  7. Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and your career growth

What Are We Looking For:

  1. Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field
  2. A minimum of ten (10) years’ previous consulting experience in site assessment, reclamation, remediation, and monitoring projects in Saskatchewan
  3. Registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization (SIA, APEGS)
  4. Familiarity with preparing technical reports, work plans and cost estimates
  5. Experience with borehole logging, sample collection, field screening, and sample selection
  6. Strong data evaluation skills and ability to make decisions based on findings
  7. Self-motivated and possess strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  8. Willingness to provide technical direction and mentorship to more junior professionals
  9. A valid and clean class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions
  10. Previous experience using field equipment including Global Positioning Systems, water and soil field screening equipment
  11. Preference given to those who have experience with complex salt or hydrocarbon impacted sites and have a strong working knowledge of SEQG and Energy and Resources Directive PNG 33 and 45
