What will your role be?
In this project, your main responsibilities will be:

  1. Creating/Modifying software applications for an EGSE targeting satellite payloads
  2. Reading and understanding detailed requirement documents
  3. Planning work, providing effort estimates and driving your work to completion
  4. Designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting high-quality software development applications
  5. Working in an agile development team using best practices
  6. Writing and modifying Python applications
  7. Preparing documentation and participating in reviews
  8. Participating in integration, testing and deployment of software applications
  9. Assisting in troubleshooting problems in a software production environment
  10. Understanding the system under test

What qualifications are we looking for?
You have:

  1. A University degree in Software/Computer Engineering or other relevant disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Minimum of 5 years of test software development experience
  3. Knowledge of Hardware in the loop
  4. Ability to work with an existing code base/framework
  5. Familiarity with multithreading, data sharing, and APIs
  6. Knowledge of Python and C++
  7. The ability to understand and work with complex software requirement specifications
  8. Experience with agile software development
  9. Good verbal and written communication skills ideally both in English and French

Assets:

  1. Exposure to DO-178 standards
  2. Experience with instrument control, automated system functional testing
  3. Knowledge of CCSDS, MIL-STD-1553
  4. Knowledge of protocols such as CAN bus and SpaceWire
  5. Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  6. Experience with GIT and Jenkins
