There will be lots of time spent interacting with all of our patients and responding to various inquiries - no two days are the same You will be a big part of our practice and ensuring we are able to provide the best care in the Bow Valley.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner to provide advice and help with product-related questions - providing referrals to pharmacists where appropriate
  • Accept prescription orders at intake
  • Compliance packaging medications
  • Accurately input and fill prescriptions into pharmacy software (Kroll)
  • Count, package, and label prescriptions
  • Assist in drug inventory management
  • Communicate appropriately with patients and answer the phone professionally
  • Operate the cash register, handling cash and other forms of payment (cheque, credit card, debit card, and charge transactions)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
  • Maintain strict confidentiality according to the Personal Health Information Act
  • Restock vials and consumables each morning and ensure printer cartridges are in stock
  • Other duties as assigned by Lead Pharmacist, staff pharmacist, or owners

Expectations:

  • Being friendly, outgoing, and courteous to foster a positive working environment
  • Demonstrate a high degree of initiative, organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as an effective team member and assist other pharmacy staff members

Requirements:

  • Must be living in the Bow Valley
  • Previous retail sales experience is an asset
  • Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
  • Strong oral communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Location:

  • Banff, AB T1L1B1 (preferred)

Work Location: In person
