Vehicle Digital Interface Engineer

We are looking for a Vehicle Digital Interface Engineer. As a member of the Engineering Services team and reporting to the Mechatronics Team Leader, your primary mandate will be to define the requirements and validate the functionality of mobile application interaction with our recreational vehicles.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Develop concepts and strategies to adapt connectivity technologies to the reality of recreational vehicles for all BRP product lines.
  • Develop specifications and requirements to support calls for tenders to software and electronic equipment suppliers.
  • Develop and perform the necessary test plans to validate technical solutions, on test benches and various vehicles, in accordance with the established norms and standards.
  • Collaborate with the mobile design and development teams to plan, implement and validate new functionalities integrated to the mobile application and vehicle infotainment module.
  • Solve production and networking problems and follow up with suppliers.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or the equivalent.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential, both written and spoken, to be in contact with suppliers out of the country.
  • Interest in digital user interfaces and recreational vehicles.
  • Comfortable in an environment where technical solutions are unknown, or where the path is not mapped out. You are also able to apply predictive analysis methods.
  • The knowledge and ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software and mechanical principles.
  • Available to travel occasionally.
