As a Dishwasher/Prep Cook of Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing, you love being part of a team. You will assist in the execution of memorable food and beverage experiences for our guests by ensuring cleanliness and organization of our dish area and the Food and Beverage areas at all times, and by helping prepare the food items for our menus. You will work under the leadership of our Head Chef and assist with other tasks needed in and around the kitchen,

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Works under the direction of the culinary leadership to clean and sanitize all food service plate ware, glass ware, and equipment
  • Ensures adherence to all culinary standards set out by Tyax leadership.
  • Monitors the dishwashing machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
  • Report any functional or mechanical problems to the manager immediately.
  • Receives and properly stores kitchen supplies.
  • Cleans and maintains kitchen area and equipment as scheduled and requested by culinary leadership.
  • Works with the culinary team to do basic food preparation, under the guidance of leadership.
  • Ensures a great guest experience is created by their work within the culinary team.
  • Maintains set standards around Health & Safety.
  • Works independently in an unsupervised environment to execute daily tasks, on time and of a high quality.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:
  • Must possess strong verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills and be a team player
  • Responsible, dependable and available to work all shifts including, early mornings, nights, and weekends
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop one's skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have good time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
  • Must be self-disciplined with a sincere desire to provide excellent customer service
  • Must possess a desire to learn & grow.
  • BC Food Safe Level 1 is advantageous
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Will be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift up to 70lbs
DATE REQUIRED:

Late May to Mid October 2024, with possibility to re-sign for the winter season

Visa Requirements:

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
