Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking a dedicated Casual Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, located in Trail. Shift types include rotating day shifts.

Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and shifts can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

What Will You Work On?
Pharmacists are at the forefront of healthcare, providing essential pharmacy services. Duties include interpreting medication orders and prescriptions, assessing therapeutic suitability, and ensuring medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed, compounded, and labeled.

You will communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to resolve prescription issues, offer instructions on medication use, and participate in medication use evaluations, safety initiatives, quality control activities, and clinical drug trials. You will also ensure all activities comply with legal, professional, and departmental standards.

About This Location:
Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) is a 75-bed acute care hospital with a medium size Pharmacy operating seven days a week during daytime hours. Located in Trail, between Grand Forks and Nelson, KBRH offers services including core physician specialties, 24-hour emergency and trauma services, pharmacy, acute and obstetrical care, psychiatry, and chemotherapy.

Trail is nestled between the glorious Monashee and Selkirk mountains on the banks of the Columbia River, approximately 10 km north of the US border. The area is surrounded by nature and offers many family-friendly amenities and a variety of retail, businesses and services.

Qualfications
• Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia; and
• Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
