Job Description

The Benefits Coordinator in Hamilton, Ontario supports the Canadian Benefits team (team of three in Quebec) in the management of the Company’s Group Insurance and RRSP programs for all of Canada. This position requires on-site presence.

What you're responsible for:

Group Insurance

  • Track group insurance eligibility and input data into systems;
  • Generate specific reports to effect changes on the insurer's administrator portal;
  • Assist employees with insurance changes;
  • Calculate group insurance premiums, as needed
  • Follow up on premium payments for employees on leave of absence, and liaise with accounting and payroll departments.
  • Support the Benefits Technician with managing disability file

Group RRSP

  • Track RRSP eligibility and input data into systems;
  • Generate specific reports to effect changes on the Group RRSP administrator portal;
  • Assist employees with RRSP changes.
  • Generate reports and analyze benefit related metrics;
  • Participate in planning Benefit related activities, such as information sessions, kiosks, webinars, etc.;
  • Work with our Employee Assistance Program to promote their services;
  • Manage and reply to e-mails in the Benefits inbox;
  • Promote our Benefits during employee onboarding and year-round;
Qualifications
  • One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience. Any combination of education and experience may also be considered;
  • Proficient communication skills; French speaking considered an asset;
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel etc.;
  • Discrete, resourceful, and autonomous
  • Team player

*May be called upon to travel to our different divisions (within Canada), about 2-3 times per year.
