In this role, you will:

  • Assist in compiling and coordinating drawings and specifications in accordance with the tender documents;
  • Prepare, monitor and update construction budgets;
  • Prepare and review construction cost estimates from the initial design stage to the final working drawings;
  • Prepare and manage tender packages which include scopes of work and tender documentation for the trades;
  • Prepare the tender analysis based on submitted tenders from the Trades;
  • Meet with the Trade contractors and as part of the contract award procedure; review scope of work, prepare minutes and letter of intent;
  • Prepare, review, and edit contract documents;
  • Manage all aspects of Purchases Change Requests (PCR);
  • Prepare Purchaser's change order based on reviewed Purchases Change Requests (PCR);
  • Review and monitor external cost consultant and construction management reports;
  • Conduct feasibility and value engineering studies;
  • Review drawings and specifications and provides feedback concerning costs and practicality;
  • Provide input on cash flow projections and life cycle costs when required;
  • Other duties within the job's scope, spirit, and purpose, as requested by management.


We would like you to have:

Education: Post-Secondary Education either a University Degree (Civil Engineering, Architectural or Engineering degree or related discipline) or a College Diploma (Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technologist or related discipline).


Experience: A minimum of three to 5-7 years of relevant work experience in construction management as an Estimator/Purchaser.


Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
