Key Requirements:


• Strong expertise in cloud computing concepts, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.


• Proven ability to build applications using serverless computing, PaaS, and SaaS.


• In-depth knowledge of .NET Framework development patterns and their optimal applications.


• A broad understanding of Microsoft technology stacks across OS, middleware, and database products.


• Solid grasp of application security architectures, including token-based authentication (OIDC, SAML, OAuth).


• Strong experience with messaging concepts such as XML, JSON, HL7 FHIR, and RESTful APIs.


• Become familiar with the ArchiMate modeling framework.

Responsibilities:


• Define the structure and relationships among applications, identifying reusable components and determining interfaces.


• Develop, implement, and manage cross-platform application architectures in a large, distributed environment.


• Work with business architectures to evolve and maintain logical information system architectures that align with Ontario Health's principles, standards, and best practices.


• Ensure SDLC architecture artifacts and best practices are followed during solution implementation.


• Support implementation teams by sharing knowledge, conducting audits, and performing code reviews.


• Collaborate with Product Managers to create interim and target-state architectures for product roadmaps.


• Conduct cloud feasibility assessments for new products.


• Provide technical consulting and advisory services to project teams to ensure architectural alignment.


• Researched emerging technologies, industry trends, and market innovations to assess their potential impact.

Desired Skills & Certifications:


• Azure Cloud Engineer/Architect certification (preferred).


• Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design techniques.


• Experience developing enterprise architecture deliverables following Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture standards.


• Knowledge of information management principles, policies, and best practices.


• Certification in ArchiMate and familiarity with TOGAF is an asset.


• Prior experience implementing healthcare technology solutions in Canada, especially in Ontario.

Experience & Evaluation Criteria:


• Solution Architecture in Healthcare IT: Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic health-related projects in Canada (preferably Ontario) – 20 points.


• Enterprise Architecture Development: Experience with Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture practices – 15 points.


• Messaging Technologies: Proficiency in XML, JSON, HL7 FHIR, RESTful APIs – 25 points.


• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Cloud solutions and AWS – 25 points.


• Privacy & Security: Knowledge of PHIPA and privacy legislation in healthcare IT – 15 points.
