Territory Manager – Industrial

Our client is a quickly expanding Industrial Distributor who is looking for a Territory Manager for Southern Alberta. This individual will be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts. The main goal of the Territory Manager will be closing sales opportunities by targeting, educating and partnering with a range of customers, with a key focus on customer retention and managing existing relationships, and some strategic prospecting. You will be responsible for growth in new and existing accounts, and bringing new ideas to drive future expansion in Southern Alberta. If you have previous experience working with Welding, Industrial Supply, or Wholesale Distribution this could be a fantastic opportunity to grow your career.
Responsibilities:- Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
- Assess current processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
- Initiative to prospect for new business with a track-record of success managing a key account book of business
- Possess the people-skills to build relationships within the industry – networking is important
- Managing a territory through effective time management and strategic planning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support demand and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Identify and pursue opportunities for acquiring new customers.
- 3+ years of Industrial experience either in sales or services
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Previous experience in Welding, Industrial Sales, or Wholesale Distribution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing market that mandates urgency and adjusting
- Previous experience creating, developing and executing sales plans that involve budgeting and goal setting
- Ability to communicate, present at an exceptional level – both written and verbal
- Excellent time and organizational skills – ability to juggle multiple ‘to do list’ items
- Understanding of CRM systems and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
