Descripción del empleo
PROPOSITO
Bajo la orientación general del Director of Engineering o cualquier otro autorizado por la gerencia, responsable de realizar el mantenimiento preventivo y continuo del hotel, en áreas detrás del escenario dentro de la propiedad. Todas las tareas deben realizarse de acuerdo con las políticas, prácticas y procedimientos del departamento. El ingeniero debe ser competente y versátil en uno o más oficios de construcción; electricidad, pintura, carpintería, plomería industrial, HVAC, electrodomésticos de cocina, piscinas y mecánica general.
DEBERES Y FUNCIONES
- Recibir y responder a llamadas de mantenimiento en el hotel de parte de huéspedes y otros departamentos.
- Diagnosticar y reparar problemas de iluminación, sistemas, plomería y electricidad.
- Diagnosticar y reparar equipos mecánicos que van desde equipos de calefacción, ventilación y aire acondicionado, bobinas de ventilador, enfriadores, bombas, calderas, torres de enfriamiento y sistemas de gestión de energía.
- Trabajar con energía que va desde voltajes bajos hasta medianos.
- Operar elevadores de tijera y de brazo y subir escaleras para acceder a áreas elevadas como techos y pasarelas cuando esté certificado.
- Diagnosticar sistemas eléctricos, controles de motor, sistemas de iluminación y atenuación.
- Responder a los sistemas de seguridad contra incendios y al panel de alarma contra incendios, ubicar el área de la alarma y enviarla al personal de Ingeniería para que tome medidas.
- Leer y entender planos.
- Mantener un área de trabajo limpia y segura en toda la propiedad.
- Manejar quejas de los huéspedes asegurando la satisfacción del huésped.
- Mantendrás una actitud positiva y prestarás atención a los detalles durante todo el turno.
- Como parte importante de un equipo, intentarás ayudar a los compañeros que necesiten asistencia tanto del departamento como de otros departamentos.
- Mantendrás la calma en los periodos de mayor actividad para realizar el trabajo de manera eficiente y pedirás ayuda cuando sea necesario.
- Cualquier otra tarea razonable asignada por el supervisor o gerente.
Reconocemos que estamos en la industria de la hospitalidad y eso puede requerir que proporcionemos servicio lateral. En ocasiones, solicitaremos a cada miembro del equipo que realice diversas tareas relacionadas según sea necesario, en aras de brindar un servicio excepcional al cliente.
Requisitos
- Al menos dos (2) años de experiencia en mantenimiento, preferiblemente en un hotel de lujo, all inclusive o resort.
- Capacidad para ser innovador y creativo, contribuyendo con nuevas ideas para mejorar la experiencia del equipo.
- Debe ser capaz de girar, arrastrar (empujar o tirar), alcanzar, inclinarse, trepar y llevar objetos según sea necesario.
- Capacidad para mantener excelentes relaciones con el personal y mantener la confidencialidad en todo momento.
- Capacidad para pasar largos períodos de tiempo a pie, caminando.
- Capacidad para realizar múltiples tareas, trabajar en un entorno rápido y tener una gran atención al detalle.
- Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y colaborar con otros para promover un ambiente de trabajo en equipo.
- Debe ser observador y responder rápidamente a diversas situaciones, así como realizar múltiples tareas y manejar situaciones estresantes.
- Debe tener excelentes habilidades de comunicación y ser capaz de leer, escribir, hablar y entender Español.
