Your new role

The company is seeking an IT Cloud Architect - specialized Storage & Backup to join its technology architecture team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining systems and technology models, assisting in the implementation of standards, and participating in architecture and planning projects. Your expertise will help propose efficient technology solutions that are scalable, modular, and integrated. You will also implement storage-based solutions, provide technical assistance, and lead diverse teams in multidisciplinary projects. We prefer candidates with GCP certification such as GCP Cloud Architect, who have also on premise Infrastructure experience. AWS is an asset.

Looking for technical infrastructure architects with a track record of success. Not simply lift and shift to cloud; our team is carefully re-platforming our applications, meaning we design the cloud environment specifically for the app in question.


What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT or IS.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Storage and Backup (GCP).
  • Experience with data backup and retention, backups encryption, and data protection.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Backup and Storage enterprise solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise disaster recovery solutions and vendor data center backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Hitachi, Dell, NetApp).
  • Good understanding of Public Cloud Computing solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and TOGAF Architecture Principles.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Bilingual (French and English) with senior-level communication skills. English speakers also considered.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
