The QA Analyst would have a working understanding of software systems, user stories and the software industry. Critical thinking, inquisitiveness, and persistence would be needed for them to test new product(s).


You would be expected to initially learn to install and setup the product(s) multiple times and would also be expected to learn the industry terminology the product is meant for. Becoming proficient at testing the different Add-On products is the long-term goal. We value and expect your participation in our Agile meetings and look forward to your contributions.


Responsibilities:

  • Manual testing of sprint items
  • Properly identifying and explaining issues as well as entering them into the issue tracking system
  • Updating or creating QA related documentation
  • Participating along with the development teams in their Agile meetings
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the product, its users and the industry it serves
  • Work with the team to take ownership of QA related activities and tasks
  • Drive an increase in code coverage for automated web testing
  • Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts
  • Establish quality metrics; monitor metrics and drive iterative improvements


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, best practices and terminology. Knowledge of .NET technologies, JavaScript, HTML, and web frameworks
  • Organization Must be diligent with prioritization and timely project updates
  • Experience working with JIRA
  • Comfortable testing mobile applications (Xamarin, Cypress or Appium considered a plus)
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience with running Selenium tests or similar automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with dynamic product stress/performance testing (considered a plus)
  • Experience leading a QA team and familiarity with Azure/Amazon hosting environments will be considered assets
