About the role
As part of the Detection Engineering team, you will be the Senior Product Owner, as well as a SIEM, UEBA Specialist (50% of your time).
Responsibilities:
As a SME and Technical Detection Engineering Advisor, you will:
- Provide guidance to the IT security monitoring team by directing technical directions, strategies and guidelines related to IT security monitoring.
- Develop and maintain multiple IT security technology platforms: SIEM (e.g. analysis, alert refinement), SOAR and UEBA.
- Identify threats and recommend use cases in collaboration with internal incident/threat response teams and implement solution in SIEM, SOAR and UEBA platforms.
As a Senior Product Owner for Detection Engineering, you will:
- Be responsible for ensuring that the right products are built in the right order and that the release is developed on time.
- Ensure consistency between products: SIEM, SOAR and UEBA plan forms and processes.
- Manage activities by organizing, planning and controlling the product catalog while aligning with the IT security monitoring roadmap and strategy.
What you need:
- Experience working with a SIEM such as Microsoft Sentinel.
- Experience in SOAR automation.
- Experience in UEBA.
- Extensive understanding of Kafka.
- Understanding of Linux terminal.
- 8 to 10 years in cybersecurity or devops or infrastructure team.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT Security monitoring (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP, UEBA).
- Certified Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO I, PSPO II) will be considered an asset.
- Good understanding of the Agile development process and best practices.
- Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required; however, must be eligible to work in Canada.
