About Botpress
Botpress is one of Canada’s fastest-growing AI startups, and we’re looking for a talented Video Editor to help tell our story through high-quality video content. You’ll be joining a fast-growing Series A startup with users, customers, and partners located in every country in the world.
The Role
As our Video Editor, your primary mission will be to support the marketing team’s video production efforts, working on everything from product demos and customer stories to thought leadership and social content. This isn’t a role where you’ll be in the background; you’ll have the opportunity to help define how we visually communicate with our audience and showcase the value of our software.
Responsibilities
- Edit Raw Footage: Transform raw footage into high-quality, polished videos that align with our brand's voice and vision.
- Collaborate on Creative Vision: Work closely with our marketing team to interpret scripts, storyboards, and brand objectives, ensuring the final product aligns with the creative direction.
- Post-Processing: Handle all aspects of post-production, including colour correction, audio levelling, and visual effects, to create smooth, professional final products.
- Audio Management: Enhance and clean up audio tracks, remove background noise, and ensure audio clarity and balance throughout.
- B-Roll Selection and Integration: Source and seamlessly integrate B-roll footage, transitions, and supporting visuals to enhance storytelling.
- Adhere to Brand Guidelines: Ensure all videos meet our brand standards for style, tone, and quality, creating a consistent look and feel across video content.
- Implement Best Practices in Video Production: Apply video production best practices, including optimizing for various platforms and formats (e.g., YouTube, social media).
- Workflow Optimization: Streamline video production and post-production processes, organizing footage, setting up project files, and managing assets for efficient turnaround.
Key Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite: Deep familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and related tools.
- Video Editing Experience: A proven background in video editing, with a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to produce engaging, professional video content.
- Portfolio Required: Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. Please include a link to your portfolio showcasing your best work.
