Field Effect is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented People & Talent Coordinator for a one-year term to join our People & Talent team in Ottawa. If you are a recent graduate with a passion for HR and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you

As a People & Talent Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our People & Talent team in various functions including recruitment, employee onboarding, data management, and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is quick to learn HR systems (Dayforce) and eager to develop a career in Human Resources within the exciting field of cybersecurity. Some of the key responsibilities of the People & Talent Coordinator will be to:

  • Maintain and update employee records in our HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide administrative support to the People & Talent team, including preparing reports, maintaining files, and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely assistance with HR-related matters.
  • Support People & Talent projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Please note that this is a hybrid role and requires the person to be on site 1-2 times per week.

Experience and skills we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new HR systems and technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous internship or work experience in HR is a plus, but not required.
