  • Effective April 1, 2024 new hourly wage range is $24.76-26.38

What will you work on?

In this role you will perform a variety of transcription duties including typing, transcribing and editing dictated reports, clinical notes, forms assessments, letters, etc. using approved transcription and speech recognition software. You will be responsible for ensuring content, grammar, punctuation and format are correct by clarifying inconsistencies with the dictating physician, reviewing reference material or referring to the administrative services supervisor.

In addition, you will verify and confirm report information against transcribed reports or healthcare information systems and ensure client record security and confidentiality is maintained. Administrative duties will include retrieval of requisitions and distribution of transcribed reports as well as basic troubleshooting of transcription related software along with supporting general administrative office operations.

What should your application include?

  • Certificate in Medical Transcription from an approved institution
  • Valid 5 minute Typing test of 60 wpm taken within 24 months from an approved institution (non-supervised tests are not accepted)
