Job Title: System Administrator / Technical Support Specialist

Location: Onsite in Ottawa, ON and Gatineau, QC

Duration: ASAP to Nov 30, 2024, with a possibility to extend

Language: English AND French, Bilingual

Security Clearance: Valid Secret Clearance is a Must

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator/Technical Support Specialist to join IT Support Team. The role involves providing comprehensive IT support to Federal Government clients, including application, network, and telephony support.

Responsibilities:
Provide Technical Support: Deliver application, workstation, and peripheral support to clients. Manage and resolve incidents using IT Service Management Software (BMC Remedy).
Network and Telephony Support: Assist with network connectivity issues and telephony systems. Ensure reliable operation and support of network components and telephony.
Remote Access and Video Conferencing: Support VPN, and other remote access technologies.
VIP and Special Events Support: Offer specialized support for VIP clients, including Ministers and Deputy Ministers. Set up and support IT for special events and temporary office setups.
Equipment Management: Manage the cyclical replacement and disposal of IT equipment. Support laptop loans, rebuilds, and iPad setup.
Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
Must be bilingual - English and French
Must have a valid Secret clearance
7 years of experience using remote administration and support tools
7 years of experience, working with an incident/problem management tracking software (example: BMC Remedy Action Request System).
7 years of experience installing, upgrading and troubleshooting computer hardware (example: desktops, laptops, printers, etc.) in a large Microsoft Windows network environment, minimum of 5000 clients

Pay: $33.00-$34.00 per hour
