Auto Body Parts Associate

Job Description: Parts Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Receiving part orders while maintaining proper records and entering the information into the management system, BSC.
  2. Follow up with vendor regarding any problems.
  3. Ensure parts price meets GP% on Parts Pricing list.
  4. Ensure parts price changes are reflecting correctly in BSC.
  5. Report discrepancies to management.
  6. Mirror image parts to ensure they are for the correct vehicle.
  7. If there is a problem, report to management, prepare return if required.
  8. Take pictures of parts, used and or damaged, incorrect.
  9. Ensure technicians have all required parts to complete the repair and maintain a clean and organized parts room and area.
  10. Run daily Parts order report in BSC.
  11. Follow up on late deliveries and back orders. Update management and BSC with problems and parts ETA.
  12. Communicate to CSR when all parts have been received for an RO.
  13. Ensure prompt return of parts. Run Outstanding credits report to ensure all returns are addressed before month end.
  14. Manage the receipt of Credits in BSC.
  15. Forward all parts invoices and credits to accounting each day.
  16. Assist where asked to purchase and or source parts.
  17. Prepare and list parts that cannot be returned and could be sold on used market.
  18. Open garbage bins in AM and close lids in PM – Ensure cardboard is cut up and laying flat in bin.
  19. Any additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Previous experience in a parts role in an automotive dealership or auto body repair shop is considered an asset.
  2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  3. Team player, motivated and thrive in fast paced environment.
  4. Good communication skills within the team and with outside suppliers.
  5. Good computer and social media skills.

SCHEDULE:

  1. 8.25 hour shift.
  2. Monday to Friday.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Parts/dealership/collision centre: 1 year (preferred).

JOB TYPE: Full-time

PAY: $18.00-$26.00 per hour

EXPECTED HOURS: 42 per week
