  1. Raw Material Procurement
  2. Purchase various grades and cross sections of steel (HSS, beam, flat, round, etc.)
  3. Acquire different grades and cross sections of stainless steel
  4. Source specialty metals including grating, deck, and mesh
  5. Sublet Process Coordination
  6. Manage cutting processes (laser, plasma, etc.)
  7. Oversee bending tasks (steps, profiles, etc.)
  8. Coordinate painting and polishing activities
  9. Galvanizing Coordination
  10. Schedule and transport galvanizing tasks
  11. Manage weights and logistics
  12. Subcontracted Items Coordination
  13. Oversee structural and miscellaneous metal subcontracting
  14. Shop Supplies Purchasing
  15. Source welding, plasma, and torch supplies
  16. Purchase protective equipment (gloves, ear protection, safety glasses, etc.)
  17. Manage general and miscellaneous shop supplies
  18. Tooling Procurement
  19. Buy cutting blades, small tools, welding equipment, and specialty tools
  20. Inventory Management
  21. Maintain and oversee stock and raw material inventory
  22. Provide weekly status reports on inventory levels
  23. Tooling and Equipment Maintenance
  24. Oversee shop equipment (cranes, saws, punches, etc.)
  25. Manage stock room and truck equipment
  26. Coordinate maintenance and inspections for forklifts, trucks, and other rolling stock
  27. Tool Rentals Coordination
  28. Handle one-time and recurring tool rentals
  29. Transport and Delivery Coordination
  30. Work with production manager, project managers, and foremen on internal and external trucking logistics
  31. Records and Paperwork Control
  32. Maintain and coordinate records with the office manager, including bills of lading, purchase orders, equipment certifications, and more
  33. Shipping and Receiving Oversight
  34. Confirm quality and quantity of received goods against purchase orders and project numbers
  35. Stakeholder Assistance
  36. Collaborate with production manager, project managers, and foremen to prepare materials for work orders
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in procurement and inventory management
  2. Knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals
  3. Strong organizational and coordination skills
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
